If you haven't read my original post yet the original Jurassic Park trilogy is now streaming on Netflix! The start of June Netflix began streaming these and as a huge fan of the original movie I had to write up a review of Jurassic Park.
Michael Crichton laid the ground work in his book with a crazy concept to create living and breathing dinosaurs using clone technology. The creative part of the story to me when I first saw this movie was how they found millions of years old dinosaur blood. A Mosquito.
This scene pictured above was one of the most revolutionary scenes in all of movies. The first time we got to see a live dinosaur on a movie screen! Of course CGI has come a long way since then but this scene, at the time, was beyond exciting. Steven Spielberg wanted to meld both Animatronics as well as CGI to create this movie and he did just that.
You follow the billionaire John Hammond as he recruits the top archaeologists and doctors to come sign off on his new amusement park, Jurassic Park. Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler along with Dr. Malcolm are the three experts that Hammond hires to consult him on his park. The Dr's along with Hammond's grandchildren set out through the park.
To not spoil it all for you but poo hits the fan, the parks chief computer network engineer laid forth a plan to steal dinosaur embryo's to sell to Biosyn for $1.5 million. This coupled with a tropical storm oh and of course dinosaurs the group struggles to make it out of the park alive.
So, have you seen the original Jurassic Park before? Knowing that this released in 1993 what do you think of it?
