Cosplayer of the Week | Madisson
I have only been cosplaying for about a year now! I have always loved halloween and cosplay gives me a good excuse to get dressed up all year! But honestly I'd wear my sequin shorts every day if it were even slightly socially acceptable! The first con I ever attended was Wizard World in Ohio and I have been hooked ever since! It's currently my dream to be able to go to the San Diego comic con! I would obviously love to go and see all the cosplay, but honestly I'd be geeking out more over all the books!
Comic books are really what got me started cosplaying. I decided they would be a "good cheap hobby". Boy was I wrong! I somehow managed to get BOTH my grails last month though(Batman Adventures 12 and Harley Quinn #1 Adam Hughes variant), so I'm dangerously close to rounding out a few series! I am so fortunate to have a comic book store near me who indulges my Harley obsession. Plus they let me cosplay to promote the shop! A girl has gotta pay for those variants somehow!
With me cosplay is more of a lifestyle then just dressing up for pictures and conventions. You can tell from my ista that I am Harley obsessed, and I like to work that into my everyday life! Hence my instagram name everyday_harleyquinn. I typically end up making my clothes, because things that I want just don't exist! I'm not one who is content to just wear a shirt with Harley's face. I'd have to say my favorite cosplay and everyday cosplay pieces are my Suicide Squad jackets. I have rep my puddin on the daily afterall!
I do have a few upcoming non everyday cosplays that I'm super excited about! I actually haven't shared them with anyone yet! The first is Playboy bunny Harley complete with red a black ears, as well as custom cufflinks of my mistah j! I have been wanting to do this cosplay for years, so I couldn't be more thrilled! My other cosplay I am keeping under wraps for now! I haven't seen anyone else do it yet, so I'm aiming to do it first and best! Stay tuned!!!!
I actually have a quite a few other nerdy hobbies now that I'm thinking about it! I love anime and manga! My favorite of both is now, and will forever be InuYasha! 13 years later and nothing has come close to taking its place in my heart. I also have a thing for figures! Seriously my collection is getting out of control! Oh and my weakness has got to be gashapons! They are all just too adorable to resist! I have mostly Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, and Harley figures, but I'll buy anything that has an adorable anime girl!
I'm also a pretty big fan of video games! The more Mario Kart the better!!!! I actually only invested in my Wii U so I could play Mario Kart 8. My all time favorite system is Super Nintendo, though I don't have one of my own! Growing up, and even now, I really don't have anyone to play video games with, which is quite ridiculous if you think about it! Because I mean who doesn't like Mario and Donkey Kong?! Am I right?! But that's enough on that rant!
Overall, I'd say I'm just your normal average certified nutso hopelessly in love with a murderous psychopathic clown ;)
I just wanted to thank Madisson for allowing us to share her awesome Harley Quinn cosplays with all of our readers. Be on the look out for new Harley cosplays from her as well as a future FaceBook group. Make sure you scroll back up and like her on Instagram and show her some love! We hope to work with her in the future!

Victori Belle @ Days Of The Dead
Wow... just wow. This was my first year ever going to a horror convention like Days of the Dead in Schaumburg... (It's called the Chicago show... but we all know that doesn't really mean in the city) What an amazing show. There were celebrities around every corner from
Dave Ellefson from Megadeth to Ray Park aka Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode 1. I also saw Jon Heder from Napoleon Dynamite... that was one of my favorites :) With the mass amounts of famous people the costumes at this event were incredible! I was literally scared of the con goers. The make-up and special effects on the costumes were so realistic... and the vendors sold some creepy things. Including teddy bears ripping their faces off. 😅 Another vendor called Twisted Ponies turned MyLittlePonies into horror ponies! (They are on Etsy and Facebook!) Another really cool jeweler was The Zombie Hotel. They sold one of a kind skull jewelry and remade old movie posters! My favorite part of their booth though was the cosplay photos of zombie Snow White! She was epic you have to check it out on Facebook and Etsy!
This show was something I never experienced before it was a different feel than the usual pop culture convention but something I would suggest to someone who loves Pop Cult Conventions. It gives you a chance to see a whole different side of Pop Culture. I personally don't always love horror movies and gross teddy bears; but I have to say the atmosphere and feel of the convention made me comfortable and had me smiling the whole time ;)
Victori Belle @ MightyCon Dupage
Hello Friends!
This past Saturday at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, Mighty Con went on despite the early morning snow. For us Midwesterners, we know this fall has been kind but man was it cold out there Saturday morning! Con goers didn't seem to mind the cold at all! Mighty Con DuPage had a steady flow of people with once again a variety of toys, collectibles, clothing and much more. A one day show like Mighty Con always seems to be a hit or miss depending on the day, but this past Saturday was surprisingly busy. People were dressed in costumes that in the summer would be unbearably hot, but today it was the right choice. I think that the costume contest showed promise and the tickets being so cheap helped bring a lot of families into the DuPage County Fairgrounds on a cold fall morning. One vendor I wanted to take note of at this event was selling handmade clothing. The vendor is Koala Art and Design and makes amazing Mermaid/Scale bras and other interesting anime and pop culture dresses! I can't wait to order one online :) (koalaartanddesign.com) Thank you Mighty Con! This small convention travels to more than 10 cities throughout the summer and fall and has always kept a steady crowd. I think this is a convention to watch out for in 2017... and it was confirmed that they are traveling to St. Louis next year! :) Look out for Mighty Con 2017 for an affordable convention for all ages. :)

Hi there!
So November is my last "busy" month of the Con-season. I know what you are thinking... Cons in the cold?! No way... lol But I have recently learned there are conventions all year round you just have to dig your way through them!
So here are my final "con-quests" for the year:

November 26-27 Chicago Pop Con
December 2nd Winter Masquerade "BDAY Celebration"

After Con+Alt+Delete I will be in full Christmas mode... having to do shopping and hopefully some costuming!
I will be selling my prints and dressing in cosplay at all of the events listed and I hope to catch some of you there! If you can't make it to one of these Cons, don't worry! I will also be leaving my impression of the Cons here on Living the Nerd Life! So maybe after seeing what the Con was all about you might put it in your budget for 2017 <3!
Just remember everyone I am just one person! So please let me know if I missed your Convention or if I missed a convention that you know of and want to give a shout out too! I try to be open for any and all types of cosplaying events, cons and parties and even if they are small I want to make sure they get the recognition they deserve for serving the nerd community! :) All these conventions/parties have pages on Facebook or website if you want more information and as always I will be promoting these events on all of my social media outlets! Feel free to tell me what you guys think about the conventions coming up and definitely don't be a stranger if you see me cause I would love to meet you. WHAT IS WALMART THINKING???
So I found out about this thanks to Okchief420 on YouTube. I'll actually add the video below of his rant about this nonsense by Walmart. Anyways it appears that Walmart has jumped on the band wagon of price gouging the NES Classic. MSRP of the recently launched NES Classic is $59.99 and per his video there is a 3rd party Murloc Express selling the NES Classic through Walmart for $499.99.
I wanted to see how legit this was this morning and pulled it up and the picture above is what I found. I guess there was a price drop over night! Lucky Day right? Only $389.99 now! I'm in the same camp as Okchief420 this is just ridiculous and can't believe Walmart would be promoting something like this on their site. From what he says in his video Walmart is expected to get more NES Classics between the 14th and 22nd of the month which makes me wonder if they are going to stick with that price or not.
Okchief420's video:
So what do you guys think? Does this piss you off as it does me? Let us know in the comments!
SUPER MARIO RUN | DECEMBER 15TH!!!
Just got this email from Nintendo!!! I know we can't wait to download this when it launches. It's been an exciting time here recently for Nintendo fans. First they announced the NES Classic followed by the announcement of Mario coming to mobile platforms then the Nintendo Switch! Now the launch of the NES Classic which are literally driving people insane due to the lack of current supply. But we'll save that for a later post!
Do you plan on downloading? Let us know if you're just as excited about this game as we are! And if you're not excited let us know why!
Nintendo Switch Price Leaked???
A source says that Toys R Us Canada accidently posted a listing for the console on their website. The listing shows the Nintendo Switch will launch at $329.99 Canadian which roughly translates to $249.99 US.
This could have just been Toys R Us creating early links for the various products to activate when the Switch launches and those numbers were just made up. Or... it could be legit! If legit, $250 for the switch would be great for gamers! Here was a screen shot by wccftech.
The link has since been removed. But again if true this price is on par with this years PS4's and Xbox One's Black Friday deals. Which should make any gamer a happy gamer.
Minigore 2: Zombies | JUST BLASTIN' ZOMBIES!!!!!
Minigore 2: Zombies
Category: Games
Size: 139 MB
Seller: Mountain Sheep
Alert: MUST BE 17 YEARS OR OLDER TO DOWNLOAD
I've had Minigore 2: Zombies for a little while now because every once in a while I get the itch to kill some zombies! This game is a lot of fun and for me the most entertaining part about this game is seeing the bosses they came up with. From Zombies to giant skeletons, pigs and other hilariously entertaining creature to destroy! Check out the Positives & Negatives below the slideshow!
Positives:
- Gameplay, easy to pick up and play!
- Replay value is very high for me mainly in part to the simple gameplay
- $1.99, this gets you the game and you don't have to pay for more unless you want to
- Graphics, beautiful battle area's and a ton of disgustingly cute sprites
Negatives:
- $1.99 to get the game and extra charges for more in game advancements
- Not everyone can enjoy this game, have to be 17 or older to download due to adult content
Final Thoughts: It's definitely worth the $2 bucks and as far as any in game purchases they aren't necessary and takes some fun out of it. So go and check it out and let me know what you think!
Have you played this game before? What are your thoughts?

GHOST IN THE SHELL | Trailer
BLIZZCON 2016 COSPLAY
UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS - OFFICIAL "BLOOD" TRAILER
Flappy Golf 2 | Just Tap it in!!!
Flappy Golf 2
Developer: Noodlecake Studios Inc
Size: 115 MB
Release Date: Oct 31, 2016
Compatibility: Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
Flappy Golf 2, yes the follow up to the smash hit Flappy Golf... Ok, I have know clue if the original Flappy Golf was a smash hit or not. However, I do know that Flappy Golf 2 is kind of entertaining. For me the early stages of this game are what made me enjoy this game, in fact if I'm looking for just a few minutes of fun I always go back to the first and 2nd stages. Not that the latter stages are bad or anything but those early levels fill my quick fix just perfectly. Check out some of my Positives & Negatives below.
Positives
- Freemium! For the levels I play it is actually free!
- Flappy madness. Seems to be similar to Flappy Bird mechanics so easy to play
- Quick Fix. Have 5-10 minutes this game is perfect for you
Negatives
- Freemium, you know how that goes
- Later levels just turned me off due to how many things you have to do in them. Just too much.
Have any of you tried out this game? Or even the original Flappy Golf? What did you think?
