Mighty Con Photo Shoot-- POW~!
Hey guys!
In celebration to getting 1K followers on Facebook and Instagram I let my supporters choose my next photoshoot... Facebook choose the one and only Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach... but Instagram spoke for Wonder Woman... so Foto-Con and I decided we need to do both! Wonder Woman got her chance first ;)
So everyone tries to make the most of their time right... so knowing I was going to be in the heart of Madison for Mighty Con I planned to be Wonder Woman to take some amazing shots after the show! Madison's State Capital Building is gorgeous... and a dead ringer for Washington DC... if you just mess with angles a bit. If you reside in the midwest I would recommend this as a great spot for a quick photo shoot! ;)
Foto-Con owner Joseph Oleksy and I braved the 40 degrees weather for an hour to get some new shots of the Amazonian Princess. I am sad to say I didn't get to do the classic poses I did last time. This shoot was to bring a new look to Diana Prince. The idea was she has been in DC now for a while and is starting to get bored... so she messes around while also guarding the most prestigious buildings in DC. Having some fun on guard is something I believe Wonder Woman would take advantage of... but also making sure the public isn't seeing too much of her goofy side.
For me, I love location shoots! Madison had a bunch of different banisters and different rocks to climb on... my photographer says next time he is filming the ridiculous things I do in order to attempt to get a cool shot haha (key word is attempt..) I really wanted to climb a tree.. but I got to say, gladiator sandals don't have enough grip for that... note to fellow cosplayers maybe bring tennis shoes to climb trees. I think we are going to get some different looks from Wonder Woman this time and I hope that you guys like them... again they are different. Wonder Woman is my favorite comic book character and getting to pretend to be her at cons is a dream! Thanks for all the support throughout these months and I can't wait to show you more!
Love,
Victori Belle
Victori Belle @ Mighty Con Madison!
Travelled a bit for this last Mighty Con~! Mighty-Con Madison 2017 was held at Monona Terrace... a beautiful venue right in the heart of Madison. Venders came from far and wide to sell pops, cards, prints, weapons and one of a kind jewelry!
Being up north... spring still felt like winter so people had to modify their cosplays and made some killer looks! Cosplayers really went towards the anime characters... seeing costumes from Inuyasha, RWBY and Pokemon. A new cool cosplay perk offered here was a free Foto-Con print for the winners of the costume contest! Foto-Con really helped bring the cosplayers costumes to life!
One of my favorite venders for the Mighty Con was Quest Armory. They work foam into realistic affordable weapons for LARPing and cosplayers! I am even looking to ask them for some new weapons for my Wonder Woman costume <3 ! I had to have seen almost every cosplayer carrying their weapons!
My friends from Deadgar's Dark Coffin Classics brought a new Deadgirl to the show for the first time! Cassie Mareno is an artist who also does amazing tattoos. She was selling her My Little Pony originals like hot cakes here!
Overall the man in charge, Mr. Randy Beasley, said that this was one of the most successful Mighty Con Madison's to date! It seems to be a record breaking year for this smaller convention. Make sure you come out to a Mighty Con while they are still so affordable! I hope to see you there ;)
Love,
VB
Victori Belle @ Mighty Con Milwaukee!!!
Wow... it's 2017 Con Season already and like the good little cosplayer I am...I'm not ready costume wise!!! AHHHHH~! Procrastination is not my friend.
But doesn't matter there are Cons to go to and people to see! My first Con of 2017 just occurred last weekend... Mighty Con Milwaukee! Ok, so going into this Con there were a lot of negative things being thrown around because Mighty Con had to change their venue. They moved to the Wisconsin Fair Grounds... which is bigger and better... but had to charge people for parking. ($6... not to bad.) But people around the community were in an uproar on FB making me think that no one would be at this convention. Boy was I WRONG~!
Upwards to 2,000 people visited Mighty Con Milwaukee last weekend making it one of the most successful Mighty Cons EVER! So many venders got the opportunity to join in the action too because of the larger space! Everyone was here to have a good time and being a one day convention everyone was also in the mood to buy! My booth with Deadgar Winter, from Deadgar's Dark Coffin Classics had a run in with security... Deadgar brought out his inner wrestler and decided to do a chair fight instead of a sword fight with someone... not recommended at conventions. 😅
I'm so glad Randy Beasley and his team were able to pull off a move and make it a success... this is gearing me up for all the rest of the Mighty Cons this year. People know it's an affordable show with great venders and so they are coming to support it. Good job guys!
Cosplay wise I was able to see some unique kids costumes! My all-time favorite was a little girl who wasn't just Wonder Woman... but Wonder Woman driving her invisible jet! 😆 Loved it so much. People were able to even insert themselves into the world of their Cosplay at this con thanks to the vender Foto-Con. (https://www.facebook.com/thefotocon/) Photographer Joe Oleksy takes photos on a green screen of Cosplayers and then throws in their favorite background and bam! Your cosplay comes to life. He even prints the photos out on the spot!
Cartoonist Jeff Balke was also there with one of his amazing animators! He always puts on a great show with his drawings and amazing booths. I can't wait to meet more venders at the next Mighty Con... which is February 25th at DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton,IL. (I might not make it but you should try to!)
Can't wait to share more crazy con stories with everyone experiencing NerdLife~! Hope to see you at a Convention in the future.. until then!
Victori Belle <3

Cosplayer of the Week | Emma AKA Em Cosplay
Em Cosplay
I've always been a player of games and a lover of nerd things since I was young, but I've only been addicted to making things and cosplaying for the last couple of years now and in that short space of time I've taught myself how to sew (somewhat) and use a variety of materials/tools. I started off making wooden swords when I was young and to be able to go back to it now I'm older and make awesome designs is an incredible feeling. Cosplaying helped me to build self confidence, as when I dress up and go to conventions I feel so at home among other cosplayers and it's allowed me to meet and work with so many amazing and talented people! I have so much support from the cosplay/nerd community whenever I attend local conventions as well as across the country, and the wonderful feedback I receive regularly is a testament to that! I love to transform myself into characters just as much as I enjoy the creation process and learning new skills, I hope to grow more as a costume maker and a person in the future! I'm currently working on two new builds and I couldn't be more excited to finish them!

Cosplayer of the Week | Kennedy AKA AgeOfConquest
Here is some background info about Kennedy AKA AgeOfConquest:
Only been cosplaying for about 2 years
Favorite cosplay thus far has been my Ryuoko because I got to step out almost completely naked in public and just be accepted as an artist and a fellow geek. There is nothing more surreal than being completely visible to your people and having them love you for it
The cosplay I'm most looking forward to is my lucina for the next couple of months
Some of my top series are fire emblem, legend of zelda and final fantasy
I'm a Nintendo and PC gamer

Cosplayer Of The Week | Sydney Marie
I have been officially cosplaying for about a year now. My first con was NYCC2013, I dressed up as Harley from the Arkham City Videogame, and was hooked right away. I grew up in theater and have always looked for a reason to dress up in life. My closet is full of Kigurumis, costumes, and random shirts (mostly TeeTurtle right now). I hope to one day be invited to San Diego Comic-Con as a Featured Cosplayer.
Batman the Animated Series was my first glimpse into the Comic Book world, And as I got older I would hide in the school library during recess reading any comics I could find. Batman of course being my first love.
At 14 years old I worked at a Chinese food restaurant where myself and one other girl were the only ones who were not Asian. Our jobs were to answer the phone and take orders. She introduced me to Manga and Anime. After each shift we worked together, she would take me to Barns n Noble and we would pick up one or two mangas. Some of my favorite manga's have to be Kaikan Phrase, Absolute Boyfriend, Sword Art Online, No Game No Life, and Fruit Basket. My top Animes are Inuyasha, Sword Art Online, Full Metal Brotherhood, Sailor Moon Crystal, Fairy Tail and Death Note. She's also the one who introduced me to Lolita and Harajuku fashion, even though at the time I had no idea what it was, just that it was really cute.
Video games are my other love. My first system was a Sega Genesis which I only had one game for, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. After that I had a Gameboy Color for Pokémon Red, until my little brother decided it was a shovel for the sandbox. Now I own a Nintendo 3DS, A Green Nintendo 64, Wii U, PS2, PS3, PS4, and an Xbox360. My favorite system has to be PlayStation, the controllers fit amazing in my hands. Xbox still has a stronger online community but I'm not a fan of their controllers. My favorite games have to be God of War, and the Batman games. Nothing Beats Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros when you have friends over, but God of War and Batman are my absolute favorite. Games I've been playing lately are Battlefield 1 and Overwatch. I also really like the Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy and Ratchet and Clank. but I'm Praying that they re-master Jak and Daxter because breaking out the PS2 every time to play it is a real pain.
For me cosplay is more then just dressing up and taking pictures. Its a way to make new friends and connect with people who have the same interests. its amazing to have such an amazing community of nerds and geeks alike =D
As for this upcoming year I have about 12 cons in my line up and I'm working on about 6 different costumes right now including a new Poison Ivy and Happy from FairyTail. I always post what Cons I'm at and what I'm dressed as on My Instagram. So if you see me at a Con don't be afraid to say Hi.
Here are some of Sydney's amazing cosplays!! Lara Croft, Yoko Littner, Harley Quinn, Ash and Poison Ivy!
I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank Sydney for allowing us to share her amazing cosplays with you our readers! Make sure you go up and follow her on her various social media to keep up with her 2017 Con Schedule! Hopefully we will be hearing from Sydney throughout 2017 and can share about some of the cons she attends! If you liked this post please make sure you let us know!

Cosplayer of the Week | Madisson
I have only been cosplaying for about a year now! I have always loved halloween and cosplay gives me a good excuse to get dressed up all year! But honestly I'd wear my sequin shorts every day if it were even slightly socially acceptable! The first con I ever attended was Wizard World in Ohio and I have been hooked ever since! It's currently my dream to be able to go to the San Diego comic con! I would obviously love to go and see all the cosplay, but honestly I'd be geeking out more over all the books!
Comic books are really what got me started cosplaying. I decided they would be a "good cheap hobby". Boy was I wrong! I somehow managed to get BOTH my grails last month though(Batman Adventures 12 and Harley Quinn #1 Adam Hughes variant), so I'm dangerously close to rounding out a few series! I am so fortunate to have a comic book store near me who indulges my Harley obsession. Plus they let me cosplay to promote the shop! A girl has gotta pay for those variants somehow!
With me cosplay is more of a lifestyle then just dressing up for pictures and conventions. You can tell from my ista that I am Harley obsessed, and I like to work that into my everyday life! Hence my instagram name everyday_harleyquinn. I typically end up making my clothes, because things that I want just don't exist! I'm not one who is content to just wear a shirt with Harley's face. I'd have to say my favorite cosplay and everyday cosplay pieces are my Suicide Squad jackets. I have rep my puddin on the daily afterall!
I do have a few upcoming non everyday cosplays that I'm super excited about! I actually haven't shared them with anyone yet! The first is Playboy bunny Harley complete with red a black ears, as well as custom cufflinks of my mistah j! I have been wanting to do this cosplay for years, so I couldn't be more thrilled! My other cosplay I am keeping under wraps for now! I haven't seen anyone else do it yet, so I'm aiming to do it first and best! Stay tuned!!!!
I actually have a quite a few other nerdy hobbies now that I'm thinking about it! I love anime and manga! My favorite of both is now, and will forever be InuYasha! 13 years later and nothing has come close to taking its place in my heart. I also have a thing for figures! Seriously my collection is getting out of control! Oh and my weakness has got to be gashapons! They are all just too adorable to resist! I have mostly Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, and Harley figures, but I'll buy anything that has an adorable anime girl!
I'm also a pretty big fan of video games! The more Mario Kart the better!!!! I actually only invested in my Wii U so I could play Mario Kart 8. My all time favorite system is Super Nintendo, though I don't have one of my own! Growing up, and even now, I really don't have anyone to play video games with, which is quite ridiculous if you think about it! Because I mean who doesn't like Mario and Donkey Kong?! Am I right?! But that's enough on that rant!
Overall, I'd say I'm just your normal average certified nutso hopelessly in love with a murderous psychopathic clown ;)
I just wanted to thank Madisson for allowing us to share her awesome Harley Quinn cosplays with all of our readers. Be on the look out for new Harley cosplays from her as well as a future FaceBook group. Make sure you scroll back up and like her on Instagram and show her some love! We hope to work with her in the future!

Victori Belle @ Days Of The Dead
Wow... just wow. This was my first year ever going to a horror convention like Days of the Dead in Schaumburg... (It's called the Chicago show... but we all know that doesn't really mean in the city) What an amazing show. There were celebrities around every corner from
Dave Ellefson from Megadeth to Ray Park aka Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode 1. I also saw Jon Heder from Napoleon Dynamite... that was one of my favorites :) With the mass amounts of famous people the costumes at this event were incredible! I was literally scared of the con goers. The make-up and special effects on the costumes were so realistic... and the vendors sold some creepy things. Including teddy bears ripping their faces off. 😅 Another vendor called Twisted Ponies turned MyLittlePonies into horror ponies! (They are on Etsy and Facebook!) Another really cool jeweler was The Zombie Hotel. They sold one of a kind skull jewelry and remade old movie posters! My favorite part of their booth though was the cosplay photos of zombie Snow White! She was epic you have to check it out on Facebook and Etsy!
This show was something I never experienced before it was a different feel than the usual pop culture convention but something I would suggest to someone who loves Pop Cult Conventions. It gives you a chance to see a whole different side of Pop Culture. I personally don't always love horror movies and gross teddy bears; but I have to say the atmosphere and feel of the convention made me comfortable and had me smiling the whole time ;)
